Sydney--FeatherDale Park--Manly Beach

Sydney, AUSTRALIA ( Sang to Viva Las Vegas)

The Flying Fox from far away! Look at the wing span on that baby!
You're right Curtis, it does look like the Bat signal! IT IS.
Sydney Skyline. I love Cities, and Sydney is just breath taking. All who
said I would love it, I DO! It is amazing! The weather has been fantastic, and
I have really been enjoying the architecture, and history. The picture of the
skyline does not do it justice. We have literally done nothing but walked
around, and it feels like I'm accomplishing something. That's why I love
Central Park, and Loose Park in KC for exercising...

Curtis @ Eva's Back Packers on the bottom bunk of his bunk bed

Ships along the Sydney Harbor. These are really neat military Ships. I loved seeing them.

Sydney Skyline, Opera House, and Bridge

Us enjoying a beautiful day down by the Harbor. I know I go on and on
about Curtis, but I just love these days!! I love being with him, and feel
ridiculously luck to have met him. We fit so perfectly together, and
I truly understand that it's not always that way in life. So happy to have
met and share these beautiful things together!!!!

Pretty paths all over in Sydney!

Curtis Sporting his hot blue shoes in Sydney!

The tree dedicated to the Australian People that were killed on 9/11 in New York.

Didgeridoo playing and Aboriginal dancing. They had a contest going, if you danced the best, you could get a CD for free. After traveling throughout Australia, and realizing how amazingly this guy played I wish I would have busted a move!

Curtis: Seriously this guy was awesome! Mixing didgeridoo with hip-hop and pop. Amazing!

Gorgeous late spring early summer blossoms. These purple trees were everywhere, and just lit up the city!

These birds are crazy! It's awesome to see ONE, but seeing them like pigeons is something else. They are aggressive towards me though. Birds in Australia seem to close in on me and dive at me. Is it the blonde? Do they want it for their nests? I don't know but I look at birds from a ways off now.

Here we are down by the harbor watching boats come in- and out from Manly Beach.

Every city has one, and this is Sydney's. If you don't know what
to do in Australia there is a good list to maintain in each city;
Garden, Harbor and Wildlife Park. lol They have
Good restaurants also.

THE ROYAL BOTANICAL GARDEN

This is me moments before the attack. They were forming a circle to increase their forces against me!
This tree was huge, and just really cool. So there you have it, twisty cool tree, perfectly formed, that is tipped over.

They have Banyan trees all over just like Hawaii, and I love them!!!

Below you will find the desert plants of the garden!

These Bad boys are sooo sharp..Don't sit on those...

Pretty

This is coming back from the garden through Hyde Park. It is just a pretty church, but so beautiful.

FeatherDale Wild Life Park

Please read any of the following posts in Steve Irwin's voice... Aka the Crocodile Hunter. Definitely the first one, but you choose. This blog after-all is here for you!

This is a Kookaburra! Kookaburras like to sit in Gum trees, and laugh at you. However, JUST One earful can send you reeling through emotions you have never felt before. After the elation gets a hold of you, you only have 6 seconds before you need to find earplugs or you will be in pure euphoria for life, well mates, I was 8 seconds away from ANY earplugs...,  because of my brownie skills having to do with selling as many cookies as possible, as a girl, I was able to move stealthily and swifty along without disrupting the nature of this bird, and capture this photo for you without suffering the dire consequences~  Thank you Mrs. Lutgen for helping me achieve such necessary survival badges and skills!

AND THIS..is a Gorgeous American female..taming a wild Cockatoo. Not only is she able to keep the animals full attention, BUT she has everyone on the edge of their seats convincing them... she will succeed in making this WILD animal say Hello to her. Is this possible..we will see.

Kids laughing, man tearing up and applauding..Ladies and Gents this cute bird herself taught the cockatoo to say hello in a matter of seconds. Lungs filled, feathers ruffled friends..he was singing hello for the next TEN minutes. I'd give you her number mates, but she is taken!

What do we have heya? A wallaby running wildly among the park. This is a site to behold. Not one.. alone? Not two?
But three Wallabies. These marsupials, are fun creatures. Harmless really. They keep mostly to themselves unless you have an ice cream cone filled with food they like to eat and then they'll play a great game of tug of war with you.

Now this... this is a Red Roo. Watch as he eyes the food moving towards him in a barrel. Any moment he is going to jump higher than you can even imagine.

Cute and Cuddly when sleeping, but they can sound like a ferocious pig or lion if they're bothered.

Only the very manliest of men will sneak in to get a picture with this deceivingly adorable creature

h

What's this? The American's found not just a red Kanga, but a Grey Roo too in the same place? Absolutely amazing! We picked the right day to come visit the wildlife creatures.
Completely focused on the prize.
Unbelievable!

What you are witnessing here is a cuddle bug. This Kooky Koala has found his mate. As you will see below he has completely gone bonkers over the girl in pink, and scaled the walls to get to her. While her daring husband was encouraging her to move closer and closer, quick on her feet, she moved back and signaled over a TRAINED professional.

If it wasn't for this trained professional the Koala may have urinated on the American instead of on the professional! This is what she is paid for people. Look at how she handles the koala like a mother to her baby. Perfectly flawless.

If you look closely you will see a mother carrying her baby.
Imagine carrying a baby a third the size of you.
Simply incredible.
I tried to move in slowly, but unlike my luck with the Kookaburra...
I was noticed, and full on attacked, but luckily survived. :-)
As soon as the bird saw the camera...it was Action..
a nice lean to sport those end feathers, and Cut!
Beautiful
and turn... with a coquettish glance

Wow..These are FLYING FOXES. These bats ARE as big as they look..1.5-2 feet hanging upside down. How do they do that!
Did Australia makes their own chicken? They were tired of the regular chicken, and they were like, "What do you mates think about a chicken with an afro?"

Holy Powerful Legs..Another bird that wanted to tango with me.
What do we have here? This is a rare gem. A completely White Peacock!!! Absolutely Brilliant

Here watching this beautiful male peacock present himself before a ravishing lady peacock.

The Smolder.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0Re-KecYd4
This isn't good for the dazzling White Peacock...a true competitor

Raising the bar..
and yet another...this is no ordinary female they are after!
Challenge has been met...

Look at the vibrant colors as he poses for the camera...
Beautiful..just beautiful, but what will your next move be? How will you challenge a white male peacock?
AND the votes are pouring in. His form is flawless..

But so it this contender, Mr. White will have to be genius here

WOW..but who is he facing? ....BRILLIANT. He has left the arena, left the spot light of the camera, and has gone straight to her to prove its not about him. I think that has got to be it folks.

He is on the fence now... Is that her??
It was meant to be. Have you ever seen love like this?
but these two don't seem too dismayed...little do they know she will be going home with a Mr. White of her own.

and there he is, the Winner, Mr Fullmer..handing over a round of applause for a good try and great sportsmanship to a beautiful opponent... good luck to you next time.

Brace yourself--it's out of the love story, and into the feeding chambers of a HUNGRY reptile.
Unlike any thing I have ever seen. Normally these snakes only eat other snakes....

Is this even possible?

Gone...
These cute dogs are actually Feral Dingos!
and LAST, but definitely not LEAST...The sleeping Crocodile!
What an adventure! Thanks for coming along and
taking a step into the wild (life park) with me, and really getting to
experience some of the great wonders Australia has to offer!

I just wanted to add this moment. There are so many hilarious things you end up doing with your travel mate, and tonight I decided I wanted to try on of these biore strips. I have never used one, but didn't want to do it alone...so this guy...he did it with me! That is love!
We were both completely taken off guard by this photo...not to mention it was 12 am and we were so tired..but ready to see Breaking Dawn. While we stood in line we were interviewed by a local TV station. It was a fun night.

These were some of the funny things we saw!

and this was our small moment of fame.

Sydney Harbor heading to Manly Beach

I hope you enjoy the pictures. It was absolutely gorgeous out, and we loved taking pictures. The sail boats were spectacular. We ferried over, got some gelato, and came home. It was such a pleasant evening. I was caught off guard by a left-sider (last blog), but it was still great! The Seagulls were flying on the air brought up by the sides of the ferry. It was so serene, and relaxing to watch.

Manly Beach

So here is the close of the night. I am carefully examining my leg... NOW, look at where the corner of the curtain is. TOO close to my leg. This is the point of entry where the bug that shall remain nameless entered and sat of my knee! Burr. It was so grotesque. Thanks for reading! Please post comments!!!!!!
